The Microsoft Fabric Blog invites you to join the global FabCon Hackathon, kicking off September 15, 2025, during the Microsoft Fabric Community Conference in Vienna and running virtually through November 3, 2025.

Hackathon Categories & Solutions

Build a solution in one or more of these challenge areas:

  1. Grand Prize Winner: Most impressive, innovative data solution leveraging Fabric and AI.
  2. Best AI Application with Fabric: Use features like Data Agents, AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, or custom ML models (e.g., RAG apps, anomaly detection in Fabric).
  3. Best Use of Real-Time Intelligence (RTI): Process and analyze live data from Event Hubs, Kafka, CDC databases, or use RTI for monitoring, alerting, and powering AI workflows.
  4. Best Use of Fabric AI Features: Employ Copilot, Data Agents, AI Functions (e.g., summarization, translation), AutoML, SynapseML, and facilitate automation/insight.
  5. Best Analytics Solution with Azure/Fabric Databases: Integrate Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL or leverage native Fabric databases, using pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, or reporting with Power BI.
  6. Best Use of Open Mirroring: Replicate and integrate external data for analytics or AI in Fabric.
